Hi, I’m Tarrah, founder of Virtual Para-Legal Assistants (VPLA) and a retired US Army combat veteran with nearly 17 years of experience and service. My career as a Human Resources NCO taught me discipline, integrity, and attention to detail, which I now bring to my work as a legal assistant and paralegal.

With over three years of hands-on legal experience and a B.A. in Legal Studies in progress, I’m dedicated to providing reliable, high-quality support to attorneys and clients. After leaving the military, I wanted to keep serving others and with VPLA it allows me to help clients through life’s toughest challenges, with care and professionalism.

Outside of work, I love time with my kids—Gabe, my 14-year-old autistic ray of sunshine, Ariel, my spirited 9-year-old—and giving back to my community. My service didn’t end with retirement; it simply took a new form. I look forward to working with you to achieve the best outcomes for your clients.

I’m Karren — that’s with two Rs ;-) I have over 20 years of experience as a legal assistant and paralegal, and I’ve built a reputation for being tenacious when it comes to advocating for my clients. 

My passion is helping clients and their families during times of crisis, and always keeping the needs of children at the forefront in all legal matters. I pride myself on being well-informed and going above and beyond to ensure every case is handled with precision and care.

Outside of work, my greatest joys are my grandchildren; they keep me laughing, on the move, and seeing the world through fresh eyes. I also love helping others in my community. Blending professional skill with a personal touch has always been important to me, and I think that’s what makes this career so fulfilling after all these years.
